Alberto Ciroi, a native of Udine, spent five years in the United States thanks to USA College Sport. During his time overseas, he had the opportunity to play soccer at a very competitive level, thanks to a sports scholarship, combining his passion for sports with his academic commitments. This experience allowed him to earn no less than three degrees: a bachelor’s degree and two master’s degrees.
But how did Alberto come to embark on this adventure? It all started almost as a game. While playing in Serie D and attending university in Udine, Alberto decided to attend an audition organized by USA College Sport. From that moment, his life changed dramatically. Alberto had the opportunity to combine soccer with study, living a unique experience that shaped him both personally and professionally.
During his experience in the United States, Alberto had the opportunity to play with athletes from all over the world, creating valuable and lasting bonds. He also had the opportunity to confront a very high level of play, comparable to that of the Italian C and D leagues.
After college, Alberto returned to Italy with the goal of continuing his soccer career. However, things did not go as planned and, after a year, he decided to use the skills he had acquired during his studies in the United States. He sent his resume to Udinese Calcio and, thanks to his international background, was hired in the club’s marketing department.
Today, Alberto works as an account manager for Udinese’s partners, handling the activation of contractual benefits. Despite his unconventional path, Alberto has managed to build a successful career through his experience in American colleges.
